Incident Support Desk Dispatcher - Ring-fenced to existing EOC staff

The ISD Dispatcher role will have responsibility to manage and effectively deploy the Trust's specialist resources, namely the Hazardous Area Response Team (HART) and Trust Commanders.
Main duties of the job
The ISD Dispatcher will be responsible for all aspects of operational delivery and performance across their dispatch function.
They will work in conjunction with the Dispatch Team Leaders, EOC Duty Officers, Trust Incident Managers, HART and commanders to ensure safe, effective and high quality deployment of resources in accordance with agreed Trust processes and policies, ensuring a principle of 'no patient to be kept waiting unnecessarily' and 'respond, review, revise' is consistently adopted.

Person Specification
Education and qualifications
* 4 GCSEs (or equivalent) at Grade C or above including English.
* Good understanding of HART and EPRR capabilities
Previous experience (Paid/ Unpaid relevant to job)
* Experience within a customer orientated organisation
* Experience in working in the voluntary or health sector
* Experience using a telephone / computer as a regular means of communication in a work environment
