Responsibilities
* Lead and coordinate safe, effective nursing care on the inpatient unit.
* Line manage and mentor nurses and HCAs, supporting a culture of learning and development.
* Support and deliver staff training and competency programmes.
* Champion best practice in complex and specialist palliative care.
* Work with patients and families to develop individualised care plans.
* Provide expert symptom management and sensitive end-of-life care.
* Contribute to service development and quality improvement initiatives.
* Be a role model for compassionate, person-centred care.
Qualifications
* Registered Nurse (Adult) with current NMC registration.
* Minimum 5 years post-registration experience, ideally in palliative, oncology, or acute care.
* Experience managing teams and coordinating care in a ward or complex community setting.
* Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* A calm, confident approach to emotionally sensitive situations.
* Commitment to ongoing professional development and reflective practice.
