This role provides high-quality clinical care and support to patients within the Inpatient Pain Management Service. Working closely with the Specialist Band 7 Clinical Nurse Specialist, the post-holder will contribute to the delivery and development of specialist nursing interventions that enhance patient comfort, safety, and outcomes.
Clinical
* Manage a defined caseload of patients with support from the Band 7 CNS, providing specialist advice and clinical expertise to patients, families, and staff.
* Undertake comprehensive assessments and deliver evidence-based interventions.
* Coordinate patient care pathways to optimise outcomes under senior supervision.
Leadership
* Contribute to the education and development of staff within the clinical area and participate in service reviews and audit activities.
Education
* Provide formal and informal teaching to the multidisciplinary team and students.
* Maintain personal professional development in accordance with NMC standards.
Research & Quality
* Support local audit, research, and quality improvement initiatives, ensuring clinical practice reflects current evidence and national guidance.
