The successful candidate will be an integral part of the team working at registrar level alongside specialist training registrars allocated to the unit. The job undertaken will be the same as for a Specialist Registrar training post in the unit for both elective and emergency work. Clinical responsibilities will include attending outpatient clinics, inpatient and day case theatre sessions, doing ward rounds as well as participating in specialist activities. Theatre activity would include both assisting in surgery as well as undertaking procedures under supervision or independently as appropriate. Post holders will be required to follow the surgical curriculum at an appropriate level and study for a higher degree. This post is suitable for trainees who already have experience in the wanting out of programme experience. You will also participate in the registrar on call rota on a 1 : 6 basis. Applicants must be registered with the GMC and show evidence of experience in vascular and endovascular surgery. A place on the Specialist register would be an advantage
