About the Opportunity
Nuclear Power Programmes are delivering client critical works to some of our major UK and European Projects. Our embedded teams are delivering support to Hinkley Point C (New build power station in the South West), Sizewell C (located in the South East), helping develop technologies in SMR (Small modular Reactor) capability and working towards building Poland's first Nuclear Power station.
Working in both client facing and internal roles we are delivering major programme and project management capabilities throughout the project lifecycle. We are driving to deliver safe, high quality and to time solutions by thinking innovatively and working collaboratively.
Jacobs are seeking EC&I Engineers to work as part of our embedded Teams supporting the Hinkley Point C Project. Our team will support you and develop you in the role, even if you haven’t experienced all aspects of this type of role previously. This is a full-time role responsible for delivery of discipline engineering scope on a major EPC project (typical TIC £500m+). Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Ensuring design is produced in line with required Regulatory, Customer and Company standards
2. Delivery, supervision and verification of EC&I related engineering design deliverables to cost, schedule and quality
3. Overseeing team progressing and reporting
4. Interface co-ordination with other engineering disciplines
5. Performing appropriate engineering reviews
6. Identifying discipline resource needs and supporting in the recruitment process
7. Ensuring design change and configuration is effectively managed
8. Overall management and coordination of EC&I team on the project
9. The identification of changes in the scope of work and ensuring that appropriate change requests are implemented
Here's What You'll Need:
10. Degree and CEng Status will be beneficial
11. Producing and implement engineering project execution plans, estimates and programmes
12. Experience of utilising System Engineering Techniques, e.g. verification and validation plans
13. Experience of System Engineering Management Tools
14. Experience with managing discipline design phase reviews
15. Managing design contractors and interfacing with supply chain/vendors and standards including CDM
16. Experience of major engineering delivery on EPC projects
17. Mobilising/recruiting discipline engineering resources including competency assessment
18. Due to the nature of work to be undertaken, applicants will be required to meet certain residency criteria in order to attain a minimum level of UK security clearance
