About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, reliable and highly motivated individual to join our dedicated Breast Imaging team. The role is predominantly based at University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire, with a requirement to support a courier role in the community, taking essential equipment to mobile screening units.
Shift pattern: work flexibly over 6 days (Monday to Saturday), between 08:30hrs and 16:30hrs, and 09:00hrs and 17:00hrs.
Responsibilities
* Support patients undergoing breast diagnostics, working alongside Consultants, Nurses, Radiographers, Assistant Practitioners and other Radiology Assistants.
* Assist with patient care before, during and after imaging examinations.
* Perform cleaning of scan rooms and maintain a clean and tidy environment in accordance with Trust infection control standards.
* Manage stock control, replenishment and undertake stock checks.
* Support the specimen checking process and courier duties, including transporting biopsy specimens to their collection point.
* Data entry under guidance of clinical staff.
* Provide chaperoning support to clinical staff and patients.
* Support courier role when required, requiring a full driving licence and access to a vehicle.
Requirements & Qualifications
* Excellent communication skills and a genuine interest in patient care.
* Ability to work well as part of a team and independently using initiative.
* Immunisation and vaccination report (from UK occupational health provider or GP).
* Full driving licence and access to a vehicle.
