PK Education is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Religious Education (RE) Teacher to join a Humanities Department on a long-term supply basis from September. The successful candidate will inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4, fostering an appreciation and understanding of different religious beliefs, values, and traditions. Key Responsibilities: Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and inclusive RE lessons in line with the national curriculum. Foster a respectful classroom environment that promotes critical thinking, reflection, and open discussion on religious and moral issues. Assess and monitor students’ progress, providing constructive feedback to support their academic development. Contribute to the development of RE resources and curriculum planning. Participate in departmental and staff meetings, parent evenings, and relevant professional development. Uphold school policies and values, promoting equality, diversity, and safeguarding principles. Requirements: Essential: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. Experience teaching Religious Education at Key Stage 3 and/or Key Stage 4. Strong subject knowledge and a passion for RE. Excellent classroom management and communication skills. Ability to differentiate teaching to meet a range of student needs and abilities. A current enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one). Desirable: Experience teaching RE at Key Stage 5 (A-level). Understanding of different faiths and secular worldviews. Previous experience in a long-term supply or fixed-term teaching role. Commitment to extra-curricular or enrichment activities related to RE or Humanities.
