Who are we looking for?
Perkins&Will is seeking senior architects with proven experience in large commercial development projects to join its team in London.
As a senior architect, you’ll be a confident design and delivery lead – shaping ideas, guiding teams, and bringing clarity to complex challenges. You’ll take ownership of project packages and processes, lead coordination across disciplines, and represent the design vision to clients, consultants and collaborators.
You’ll work in a studio that thrives on curiosity and crossover – where ideas flow freely between scales and sectors to unlock fresh perspectives. We think wide and work deep, shaping projects across the UK and internationally, from transformative science‑led innovation and pioneering healthcare and education, to city‑shaping masterplans and workplaces built for the future.
Everything we do is rooted in our living design philosophy, which puts people, place, and planet at the centre of every decision. We believe architecture should connect people, lift spirits, and leave places better than we found them. That’s the kind of work we do – and the kind of people we do it with.
What we’re looking for:
* Proven experience in leading and delivering large commercial development projects, particularly completed projects in RIBA stage 3-5.
* Experience preparing and coordinating detailed construction documents, specifications, and schedules through all stages.
* Advanced knowledge of codes, regulations, and contract requirements.
* Skill in coordinating and refining material, product, and system selections with performance and sustainability in mind.
* Confidence coordinating across disciplines to maintain design integrity, with on‑site coordination experience.
* Ability to understand scope, roles, and risk – making thoughtful decisions to manage complexity.
* Understands and responds to technical implications, design decisions, and project financial goals.
* Leads and participates in project documentation development and the production of deliverable drawing and specifications.
* A track record of mentoring others and contributing to a growth‑focused culture.
* Confidence representing the practice externally – in meetings, presentations, and through ongoing client relationships.
* Strong skills in Revit, Rhino, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, and visualisation tools (V‑Ray/Enscape).
* Architectural license (RIBA / ARB accredited). Bachelors and Masters degree in Architecture.
