If you're patient, approachable, and enjoy helping others build confidence and overcome challenges, a role as a Learning Mentor could be the perfect fit. We're currently supporting a number of specialist schools across Fareham and the surrounding areas, who are looking for compassionate and resilient individuals to join them on both flexible and long‑term assignments. No previous school experience is needed. You don't need to have worked as a Learning Mentor before – what matters most is your ability to connect with young people, understand behaviour, and provide calm, consistent support to students who may be finding school difficult. We'll provide training, guidance, and practical school experience so you feel confident stepping into the role.
Responsibilities
* Support students with SEMH (Social, Emotional & Mental Health) needs
* Help students manage emotions and remain engaged in learning
* Build strong, positive relationships based on trust and consistency
* Work alongside teachers, SEN teams, and pastoral staff
* Provide encouragement, structure, and reassurance throughout the day
