Job Overview
Our superb client, with offices based in St. Ives, Cambridgeshire, is seeking an experienced and qualified (ACA / ACCA or equivalent) Accounts Manager to join them on a full time permanent basis working 8.30am - 5.00pm Monday to Friday. This will be office based for the first couple of months then hybrid working will be available (3 days in the St. Ives office / 2 days from home).
Responsibilities
As Accounts Manager, you will be responsible for the preparation and finalising of year-end accounts for a wide range of businesses from SME's, sole traders, LLP's etc., preparing director self assessment tax returns along with computation of corporation tax returns, dealing with telephone based and email client queries and meeting with clients face-to-face, liaising with HMRC on behalf of your clients, giving them professional advice on accounting systems, compliance and making their tax efficient, working closely with the bookkeepers and supporting them during busy periods, identifying new business opportunities to further support your clients and assist with business process improvements.
Qualifications
To be considered for the role of Accounts Manager, it is essential that you have accountancy practice experience, that you are qualified in ACCA / ACA or equivalent, that you have superb communication skills both written and verbal, excellent attention to detail and will thrive on working as part of a team and also independently.
