Fast-paced and commercially driven, with a strong finance function at its core.The RoleAn 11-month fixed term contract opportunity for a qualified accountant to join a busy finance team, reporting directly to the Finance Director. You will take ownership of day-to-day financial operations across financial reporting, budgeting, payroll and audit support - a broad, hands-on role with real visibility at the top of the organisation.Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain accurate financial records and process daily transactions including expenses, revenue and bank depositsPrepare financial statements including income statements, balance sheets and cash flow reports for Board and managementLead budget preparation and management, monitoring expenditure and investigating variances against forecastUse historical data and financial trends to forecast future financial performancePrepare and file tax returns, ensuring compliance with HMRC regulations and relevant accounting standardsSupport financial audits by providing documentation and explanations to auditorsAssist with payroll including calculation of salaries, deductions and tax withholdingsUtilise accounting software and tools to streamline financial processes and maintain data accuracyWhat You Will NeedEssentialFully qualified accountant - ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalentStrong working knowledge of accounting principles, standards and regulationsProficiency in accounting software (Sage, SAP, Oracle or similar) and advanced ExcelStrong analytical skills and attention to detailExcellent communication and organisational skillsDesirableExperience with HMRC regulations and payroll obligationsVAT and FX exposurePower BI or similar reporting tool experienceBoard reporting experienceWhy ApplyAn immediate start opportunity with direct Board reporting and broad exposure across the full finance function.
