Shift patterns
Your working hours for our 16 hours post would usually be 1100-1100 hours (includes a sleepover), 1 day per week. Week days, weekends and public holidays would form part of your rota on a rotational basis.
The sleepover part of your shift isn't included in your contracted hours, so you will also get an additional £100.80 for each sleepover worked.
Our team and the individual you'll support
As a member of our small, dedicated team you'll provide 1-2-1 support to a fun loving young man who has an amazing sense of humour in his own home. Your main aim will be supporting his day to day personal needs, including meal planning, cooking, housework, personal care and medication.
As this young man enjoys an active social life within the local community, we would be looking for you to be enthusiastic about participating and supporting him with his interests including motorsports, plane spotting, the cinema, walking and day trips. One of this gentleman's favourite things to do is visit his local Costa where everyone knows him.
About You
For this opportunity, we're ideally looking for someone who has experience in caring or supportive role with the ability to lone work and have confidence to manage behaviours that can challenge. However, the successful candidate will undergo training on a detailed and specific support plan devised by a multi disciplinary team.
What we'll need from you:-

* An understanding of the importance of following routines and guidelines
* The ability to cook
* Confidence in the use of computers
It would be great if you also have:-
* A full, clean driving license as this gentleman has his own mobility car and enjoys going out for drives.
