Non Domestic Rates (Business Rates) Officer
Starting salary between £30780 and £37068 – plus cost-of-living increase
Based at King’s Court Council Office, Kings Lynn
We need you to join our dedicated Revenues Team at the Council as a Non Domestic Rates Officer. In this essential role, you will administer National Non Domestic Rates (Business Rates) and the King’s Lynn Business Improvement District (BID), ensuring accuracy, compliance, and maximum revenue generation for the Council. From spotting and reporting new properties to managing billing and complex queries, your work will be at the heart of our financial operations.
You will have with a keen eye for detail, with strong communication skills, and experience in a Revenues environment. You will be able to interpret legislation, liaise with businesses and third parties, and maintain accurate property records, including working with colleagues to ensure updates are reflected correctly across systems. Excellent local knowledge and a customer-focused mindset are essential for this role.
