Role Summary
You will be responsible for leading strategies to enhance the reliability, availability and maintainability of our products, processes and engineered systems. You will lead the resolution of reliability risks and issues experienced by our customers. Following notification from either quality, sales, customer engineering or the management team, you are expected to collate the data to identify the scope of the issue and execute evidence‑based root cause analysis. With collaborative support from engineering, manufacturing and suppliers, you will identify and document potential causes, implement immediate corrective action, develop resolutions and ensure effective roll‑out of long‑term corrective actions.
To ensure that reliability threats are minimised and to bring customer experience into the design process, you are to lead and manage all FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) or FRACAS (Failure Reporting, Analysis, and Corrective Action System). Capturing lessons learnt and embedding the learning into our engineered products and process.
This will be a customer‑facing role, supported by the relevant customer application engineer and sales manager. You will be expected to engage through written reports, presentations in meetings and during face‑to‑face meetings at customer sites. You are to lead a cultural change that focuses on achieving zero defects.
