Fire alarm engineer

Responsibilities

• Service and maintain a variety of fire alarm systems, including conventional, addressable, two‑wire, wireless, and aspirated types.
• Perform maintenance on emergency lighting systems.
• Service and maintain access control, CCTV, and intruder alarm systems.
• Maintain and service AOV systems.
• Conduct fault diagnosis and respond to emergency call‑outs for the systems mentioned.
• Carry out remedial work on the systems as needed.

Qualification & Skills

• Commission the life safety systems listed above.
• Thorough understanding and practical experience with BS5839 and BS5266 standards.
• Certified in FIA and BAFE modules.
• Knowledge of health and safety practices, including asbestos awareness and manual handling.
• A proactive, positive attitude, strong teamwork skills, solution‑oriented approach, customer service focus, and a good sense of humor and ethics.
• Ongoing training to fill any skill gaps.
