This company is seeking a Maintenance Shift Engineer to join their team in a high-performing manufacturing environment. As a Maintenance Shift Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring that production equipment and site services operate at optimal levels, reducing downtime and increasing plant reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct scheduled Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) on production equipment and site services according to established timelines.
2. Identify and troubleshoot root causes of equipment breakdowns, prioritising a "First Time Fix" approach.
3. Strictly adhere to procedures and health and safety regulations to ensure compliance at all times.
4. Assist in overseeing contractors to ensure adherence to health and safety policies and site procedures.
5. Enhance plant reliability by implementing effective engineering practices, with a continuous focus on achieving sustainable improvements in uptime and equipment reliability through all engineering activities.
6. Propose and implement process enhancements independently or collaboratively, contributing to ongoing efforts to improve equipment reliability.
Essential Requirements:
* Level 3/4 NVQ diploma or equivalent in Engineering
* Engineering apprenticeship or equivalent level of education
* Qualifications in Electro/Mechanical engineering (Multi-skilled)
* Proven background within a production maintenance environment
