RESIDENTIAL SUPPORT WORKER (TERM TIME ONLY)

Salary Range (FTE) £27,808 - £29,236 per annum

(This salary includes a market supplement for Residential Support Workers)

Actual salary for 37 weeks £22,649 - £23,859

After further completion of relevant RMT courses and increased length of service there is a potential to earn up to £32,310 FTE

*Sleep-ins paid at an extra £78.48 per night

(This equates to approximately £3,500 additional payment when working 1 sleep-in shift per week)

We are not able to offer sponsorship for term time only roles.

The students benefit from an extensive range of nutritional, therapeutic and medical support at each college that is reflected in the college sessions and in the residential provision. This role can be both physically/emotionally demanding, and you must have the confidence/patience to adapt to the challenging behaviours that the young people can present. The role is also extremely rewarding as you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact to the lives of young people in our care.

In order to be successful in this role you will:

* Have a strong desire to support young people, have excellent observational skills, and the ability to problem solve and think creatively to enable our young people to reimagine their potential
* Be a patient, caring, compassionate with a young person centered nature
* Demonstrate the ability to manage emotionally challenging situations, be a team player with experience of support work in both educational and residential settings
* Emotional intelligence and resilience with the ability to react calmly in stressful situations
* Be able to work flexible hours as this role works predominantly evenings, weekend and sleepovers on a rota basis
