Join to apply for the Construction Litigation Paralegal role at Addleshaw Goddard.
Launched in 2010, our well-established, high-performing, and busy Transaction Services Team (TST) helps Addleshaw Goddard deliver a world-class service to its clients. We were the first team of its kind in the UK and continue to innovate by delivering work in the most efficient way, saving our clients time and money. Our team comprises apprentices, paralegals, managers, and solicitors.
Members of our team focus on tasks found in various legal assignments that do not necessarily require qualified lawyers, including process elements of transactional, advisory, and contentious work. Supported by technology, we enable Addleshaw Goddard to respond to client demand for more innovative and value-driven services.
You will work directly with the Construction Disputes team, sitting with them full-time. Depending on your availability, you may also engage with other areas of the firm, but your primary focus will be on construction disputes.
What You'll Do:
* Creating, organizing, and managing electronic data sites, uploading documentation, and liaising with third parties.
* Assisting with disclosure exercises in litigation and document review exercises, including reviewing disclosed documents.
* Organizing documents referred to in pleadings for litigation, adjudication, mediation, or arbitration.
* Drafting initial versions of legal documents such as letters, notices, witness statements, and others.
* Communicating with clients and third parties (barristers, experts, document review providers) and supporting senior team members with drafting and reporting.
* Monitoring dispute statuses using trackers and providing regular updates to clients.
Who We're Looking For:
* High attention to detail.
* Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple demands.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of engaging with colleagues at all levels.
* A positive, proactive, and enthusiastic approach to work.
* Previous paralegal or litigation/paralegal experience is advantageous but not essential.
