Prospero Teaching is seeking a dedicated Outreach Tutor to deliver bespoke 1:1 education packages to young people in St Helens who are currently not attending mainstream education.
This role is ideal for an experienced teacher or tutor who is looking to step away from the classroom and make a meaningful impact through personalised, relationship-led teaching.
The Role
As an Outreach Tutor, you will:
Plan, create and deliver tailored 1:1 lessons to meet individual learner needs
Support pupils who may have gaps in their education and low confidence levels
Help re‑engage young people with learning and reinstate structure into their daily routines
Adapt teaching approaches to suit pupils who may have been out of education for extended periods
Work closely with Prospero Teaching to monitor progress and learning outcomes

Hours: Part-time or full-time (depending on availability)
Pay: Minimum £25 per hour
Session length: Minimum 1 hour, maximum 3 hours per session
Experience, Training & Qualifications
QTS, QTLS, PGCE, EYFS or equivalent qualification
Minimum of 6 months' experience working within a UK school setting
Up-to-date safeguarding training (issued within the last year) - desirable but not essential
To Be Eligible Through Prospero Teaching, You Must:
Hold Right to Work in the UK
Hold an enhanced DBS certificate with the child barred list registered on the update service, or be willing to apply for one
Provide two professional references relating to child-based roles that cover the last two years
