Overview
We’re recruiting for a Head of Retail Operations for our Northern Division. In this role, you’ll be at the heart of driving success within six regions, leading a team of dedicated Regional Managers across 85 shops with around 270 colleagues.
This isn’t just about overseeing operations – it’s about owning them. You’ll shape the division’s strategy, making key decisions on financial performance and people development. You’ll build a values-led, inclusive culture where our people feel appreciated, respected and supported.
As part of the senior leadership team, you’ll help shape the strategic direction of Mind Retail, bringing fresh ideas and driving initiatives that make a real impact. Every pound generated in our shops supports Mind’s mission and has lasting meaning.
This role is for an ambitious leader who can take ownership, think strategically and inspire a team to achieve great things.
Responsibilities
* Own and shape the strategy for the division, driving financial performance and people development.
* Lead a values-led, inclusive culture where colleagues feel appreciated, respected and supported.
* As part of the senior leadership team, shape Mind Retail’s strategic direction and drive impactful initiatives.
* Manage a multi-site, large-scale retail operation to deliver commercial success.
* Utilise retail finance expertise (P&L management) to identify growth opportunities.
* Bridge strategic thinking with hands-on execution to deliver results.
Qualifications
* Natural leader with experience building high-performing, inclusive teams.
* Senior-level experience leading multi-site, large-scale retail operations and driving commercial success.
* Strong understanding of retail finances, from P&L management to identifying growth opportunities.
* Strategic thinker who is also willing to roll up their sleeves to make things happen.
* Embodies the values and behaviours expected within Mind Retail.
* Ability to travel within the division geography: North West, Yorkshire & Humber, North East, East & West Midlands and North Wales.
