ROLE: Trade Counter Assistant / Driver

Position Details
HOURS: 44 per week – Permanent role, 7:00‑4:30 pm Monday to Friday, 8:00‑12:00 pm Saturday rota
BASE: Site Based
SALARY: £29,080.48 basic salary per year
BONUS/OTE: Realistic total earning potential of up to £32,680.48 per year

Responsibilities
* Lead by example, work closely with the Branch Manager and Supervisor in day‑to‑day branch operations
* Execute trade counter sales to achieve sales targets and confidently communicate product knowledge to customers
* Provide exceptional customer service and support to new and existing customers
* Pick, load and deliver products to customers via Eurocell’s 3.5‑tonne flatbed trucks and LWB vans
* Plan routes, drive safely and keep the company vehicle clean
* Support the Branch Manager with actions and activities on time and in full
* Ensure compliance with Health and Safety, company policies and procedures
* Maintain operational standards and branch sales targets are achieved
* Support the delivery of sales targets while developing and maintaining positive customer relationships
* Assist with delivery of branch operations
* Provide support to branch colleagues as required
* Maintain branch standards – warehouse and stock management, front‑of‑house cleanliness, point of sale
Qualifications & Experience
* Passion and energy to deliver exceptional customer service and achieve business targets
* A hands‑on customer‑focused approach, confident and happy to serve customers and proactively engage with potential future customers
* A commercial approach to drive sales and maximise margins, whilst ensuring customers walk away happy
* Good organisational skills, with ability to prioritise and use own initiative
* Confident IT user with experience of MS Office and industry‑standard software such as SAP
* A full and valid driving licence is essential; a FLT licence could be a distinct advantage
* Previous branch stock‑take experience could be a distinct advantage
* Comfortable working in a small team and occasionally on one’s own
* Experience within a similar role ideally xlqdzyr in a trade / builders merchant /retail, glazing or uPVC environment could be a distinct advantage
