Overview
In this role, you will guide clients through complex digital and data transformation journeys, designing modern architectures and shaping strategies that create long-term value. You will work across the full lifecycle—from vision and roadmapping to technical design and optimisation—taking ownership of outcomes while collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams. You will engage senior stakeholders, lead advisory discussions and bring creative thinking to solve evolving digital challenges, all while being supported by CGI's strong community of experts.
Your work will help clients modernise data ecosystems, improve governance, migrate to cloud‑native platforms and adopt innovative technologies that enhance performance and accelerate growth.
Responsibilities
* Lead & Innovate: Define enterprise digital and data architecture strategies aligned to business outcomes.
* Design and Deliver: Design and oversee the implementation of enterprise‑wide technology solutions. Advocate for best practices in software development, data management, and cybersecurity. Mentor and provide guidance to solution architects, developers, and IT staff.
* Advise & Influence: Advise on best practices for implementing interoperability of IT systems, applications and platforms. Shape digital and data roadmaps, run workshops, and guide senior stakeholders through technical decisions.
* Optimise & Modernise: Drive data platform modernisation, automation and integration best practices. Advocate for best practices in software development, data management, and cybersecurity.
* Govern & Assure: Establish governance frameworks and ensure compliance, quality and security standards. Establish IT governance policies to ensure regulatory and security compliance. Work with stakeholders to ensure digital and data architecture aligns with industry standards (e.g. TOGAF, DAMA, COBIT, ITIL). Ensure proper risk management and mitigation strategies are in place.
* Explore & Evaluate: Assess digital and emerging data technologies and recommend adoption and innovation pathways. Understand how to improve system performance, security and operational efficiency, and monitor and optimise IT infrastructure and applications.
* Lead stakeholder engagement at senior levels.
* Mentor and develop team members.
Qualifications
* Real world experience in designing enterprise digital and data architectures.
* Experience in cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) and hybrid cloud strategies and an understanding of data platforms across these hyperscalers.
* Proficiency in Azure data services (Data Factory, Synapse, Fabric); AWS experience beneficial.
* Proven ability to translate business requirements into robust technical designs.
* Strong understanding of cloud migration, data modernisation and integration patterns.
* Ability to evaluate and recommend emerging technologies.
* Knowledge of governance frameworks such as TOGAF, DAMA, ITIL or COBIT.
* Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.

Additional Information
Due to the secure nature of the programme, you will need to hold UK Security Clearance or be eligible to go through this clearance. This is a hybrid position and we expect you to be travelling 2 to 3 days per week on average, to either CGI offices or to client sites. Location: London, England, United Kingdom.
