IT Programme Manager
This full‑time post is available immediately until 25 February 2028. Applications for secondments will be considered subject to agreement from your current line manager. The starting salary will be from £50,235 on Grade G, depending on knowledge, skills and experience. The role offers the opportunity for hybrid working – some time on campus and some from home.
We are looking for a Programme Manager to support IT components of the Universitys new Transnational Education Service, working with colleagues across IT and business areas. You will co‑ordinate and effectively manage a series of projects to deliver foundational IT capabilities to support TNE offering. This will include potential creation of new systems or series, adjustments to existing capabilities and technological advancement to support new business requirements. The postholder will work closely with colleagues in IT Services, the Strategic Delivery Unit and other professional services areas.
You’ll be successful in this role if:
* You have experience and genuine passion/interest in delivering IT and Digital organisational change.
* You have demonstrable experience of user‑led design thinking, putting a customer/user at the heart of project delivery to ensure success.
* You are capable of recognising links and interdependencies across a large‑scale and diverse organisation.
* You have experience across a variety of project delivery methods (including waterfall and agile).
* You have excellent communication skills and an ability to establish positive relationships quickly, gaining traction and support even when working remotely.
* You can manage vendor/third‑party relationships effectively on their projects; experience of procurement and contracting.
* You employ organisational skills to effectively manage and balance attention to detail, accuracy and working at pace.
* You have demonstrable experience and/or certification on project and programme management controls and processes, including fiscal management and benefit tracking.
