Role Summary We are seeking a Technical Head – Façade Engineering with deep authority in Unitized Curtain Wall (UCW), Window Wall (WW) system design, and complex façade engineering for supertall towers. This role requires a hands-on technical leader capable of guiding internal engineering teams, suppliers, and consultants toward world-class engineering outcomes. You will act as the organisation’s technical anchor, driving system development, solving complex façade challenges, and ensuring best-in-class performance across structural, thermal, acoustic, and movement design parameters. Key Responsibilities * Lead UCW and WW façade system development for supertall towers and complex geometries. * Provide technical authority across all stages of façade engineering, including concept, detailed design, testing, fabrication, and installation. * Oversee PMU testing, certification processes, and compliance with EN, ASTM, and UAE façade standards. * Coordinate closely with façade consultants, architects, structural engineers, and specialist suppliers. * Review, verify, and approve detailed engineering packages, shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and method statements. * Drive façade system optimisation focusing on structural performance, buildability, lifecycle value, and safety. * Offer hands-on problem-solving for movement design, wind-load engineering, anchorage/bracket design, and glass/IGU performance. * Support BIM-based coordination, clash resolution, and digital delivery workflows. * Mentor and develop junior engineers, uplifting internal engineering capability. Experience Required 15–25 years of façade engineering experience. Mandatory: successful delivery of at least one supertall tower (300m) or equivalent megaproject. Proven expertise in: UCW & WW system development Glass & IGU engineering Anchoring and bracket system design Wind-load, movement, and tall-building interface engineering PMU testing & certification Coordination with multidisciplinary engineering and architectural teams Technical Skills Strong command of structural calculations (glass, aluminium, steel, anchorage & fixings). Deep knowledge of façade physics and IGU performance optimisation. Expertise in movement design for tall buildings and high-rise structural dynamics. Skilled in BIM-based coordination, 3D modelling, and digital integration. Ability to evaluate and approve engineering packages, shop drawings, and fabrication deliverables. Strong understanding of global standards: EN, ASTM, PMU, and UAE regulatory requirements. Soft Skills Strong technical authority and decision-making capability.
