Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive kitchen experience and a strong background in food production and preparation. As a Chef, you will be responsible for creating exceptional dishes that delight our guests while ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality. Responsibilities
* Oversee all aspects of food preparation and cooking to ensure quality and consistency in every dish served.
* Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to foster a collaborative team environment.
* Develop and design innovative menus that reflect current culinary trends while meeting customer preferences.
* Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen at all times.
* Manage inventory, including ordering supplies and minimising waste through efficient food production practices.
* Train new kitchen staff on cooking techniques, food safety standards, and operational procedures.
* Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery during busy periods.
* Maintain high standards of hospitality by creating a welcoming atmosphere for both guests and team members.
Qualifications
* Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar culinary role within a restaurant or hospitality setting.
* Strong supervisory experience with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team effectively.
* Extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and kitchen equipment operation.
* Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene management.
* Excellent leadership skills with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organisation.
* A creative flair for menu development combined with an understanding of current culinary trends.
