Our National Tax Service Line works with a diverse range of clients, from high-net-worth individuals and owner-managed businesses to middle-market organizations and large multinationals. We handle tax compliance and act as advisors for planning, due diligence, transactions, restructuring, and innovation reliefs.
Our specialist Tax Dispute Resolution Service collaborates with businesses, individuals, and HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) to resolve tax disputes and inquiries, combining technical expertise with practical experience to achieve successful outcomes.
About the opportunity
We are seeking an enthusiastic, ambitious individual to join our Tax Dispute Resolution Service in the North West Region. The role involves working on regional and national clients and focusing on business development and expanding our Tax Investigations services.
Key responsibilities include:
* Managing diverse client engagements.
* Overseeing financial and budget requirements, including client onboarding and WIP management.
* Collaborating with partners and directors to develop the business and identify opportunities.
* Delivering high-quality tax dispute resolution services.
* Engaging with team members and other departments for effective work delivery.
* Providing clear, technically accurate advice on HMRC inquiries.
* Supporting other departments and traveling as needed.
* Managing your schedule and meeting deadlines.
* Continuously improving your skills and promoting professional development.
* Mentoring junior team members.
About the ideal candidate
* ATT and/or CTA qualified (or HMRC equivalent).
* Recent experience with HMRC investigations or a proven track record in tax dispute client engagements.
* Experience managing a client portfolio.
* Teamwork and strong communication skills.
* Motivated to deliver excellent client service.
* Organizational skills and ability to prioritize.
* Confidence in influencing clients and stakeholders.
* Business development experience is advantageous but not essential.
