We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Course Manager to join the Greenkeeping team at Tilgate Forest Golf Centre, set within the stunning surroundings of Tilgate Park. This role is ideal for a motivated professional with a background in greenkeeping or sports turf management, who takes pride in delivering exceptional playing surfaces and leading a high-performing team. Tilgate Forest Golf Centre is operated by Lex Leisure, part of the Parkwood Group, offering excellent opportunities to develop your career within a diverse organisation that manages golf, leisure, outdoor activity and theatre venues across the UK.
Key Responsibilities
* Managing and delivering the maintenance and improvement plans for the golf course, driving range and amenity areas
* Overseeing departmental budgets, finances and resources
* Recruiting, training and developing greenkeeping staff
* Managing the servicing, maintenance and safe operation of the machinery fleet, including annual service contracts with external suppliers
* Applying in-depth sports turf management knowledge, including pesticide and feed applications
* Maintaining and monitoring irrigation and drainage systems
* Keeping up to date with modern advances in materials, machinery and greenkeeping techniques
* Ensuring compliance with all Health & Safety regulations, including completing risk assessments
* Carrying out quality and maintenance audits to ensure KPI standards are achieved

Essential Skills & Qualifications
* Previous experience in a similar management role
* NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent)
* PA1, PA2 and PA6 certifications
* Chainsaw Certificate (advantageous but not essential)
