Location: Remote UK (Occasional Travel to Sites)
Salary: £40k to £55k (Negotiable DOE)
Overview
A growing renewable energy services provider is seeking a Senior Wind Turbine Technician / Supervisor to lead and support field operations across a portfolio of onshore wind assets. This is a primarily remote role focused on team leadership, operational coordination, and performance improvement, with occasional site visits as required.
Role Summary
This position is centred on managing and developing a team of wind turbine technicians, ensuring high standards of safety, efficiency, and delivery. While the role is predominantly leadership-focused, you will also remain technically involved, providing hands-on support when required.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead, manage, and mentor a team of field-based wind turbine technicians
* Oversee day-to-day operations, scheduling, and resource allocation
* Act as the key link between field teams and senior leadership
* Provide technical guidance and support on complex faults and maintenance issues
* Occasionally attend site to support critical works or escalations
* Drive improvements in turbine performance, availability, and service delivery
* Ensure compliance with safety standards, procedures, and industry regulations
* Support training, competency development, and performance management
* Collaborate with planning, logistics, and engineering teams
Requirements
* Strong background in wind turbine operations and maintenance
* Experience supervising or leading technician teams
* Strong technical knowledge of large wind turbine systems
* Ability to manage teams remotely and coordinate multiple sites
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
Salary & Benefits
* £45,000 – £55,000 base
