Midforest Veterinary Practice is thrilled to offer a new opportunity for a motivated part-time Veterinary Receptionist. Receptionists at Midforest are the lynch pin in providing smooth day-to-day operations of the practice. Management of the front desks includes;
* Answering phone calls and emails
* Appointment booking and rescheduling when needed
* Being a positive first and last impression of the practice
* Promoting our Pet Health Club
* Acting as liaison between the clients and the clinical team
* Ordering and putting away the order
* Keeping a clean and orderly area
* Checking in and cashing out of clients
* Debt management
* Insurance claims
Midforest Veterinary Practice has 2 sites located in Lyndhurst and Totton. Proudly serving the community for over 30 years. Our Totton clinic is located on the outskirts of the vibrant city of Southampton and is close to nearby shops as well as offering free on-site parking. Lyndhurst’s location is in a quiet area in the New Forest with plenty of quiet walks and tourist attractions.
We are a collaborative practice who support one another. We share knowledge of cases and encourage self-growth. Both clinics are equipped with dental X-ray, digital radiography, ultrasound scan and in-house Idexx laboratory.

The successful candidate must be friendly and enthusiastic; some Veterinary Practice experience is an advantage but not essential but must have a great attitude and a willingness to learn. You will need to be confident and able to interact with our clients providing a high level of service and customer care. You must also be able to work on your own, without supervision, when required.
This part-time position offers between 22 and 25 hours per week, with shifts between 8 am and 7 pm, and one in four Saturday mornings (8:30 am – 12:30 pm). There are no out-of-hours shifts. While Totton will be your main clinic, you will be expected to work at our Lyndhurst site when the schedule dictates. So, being able to commute between practices is essential.
