Assistant Building Manager – Luxury Residential Development
Location: Docklands (E14), East London (near Canary Wharf)
Salary: Up to £38,500 per annum (approx. £17.50 per hour)
Hours: 4 on, 4 off | 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
About the Role:
We’re excited to be recruiting for an Assistant Building Manager to join a luxury residential development in East London. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about top-tier service, strong operational management, and creating a welcoming environment for residents.
You'll support the Building Manager in the daily running of the site, oversee a busy on-site team, and ensure that service standards are consistently exceptional.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support the Building Manager with the day-to-day operations of the development.
* Step in to manage the building when the Building Manager is absent.
* Coordinate and liaise with contractors and residents to ensure smooth project delivery.
* Oversee on-site teams including concierge, security-valet, and housekeeping staff.
* Respond promptly and professionally to resident queries and concerns.
* Carry out regular inspections, ensuring the building meets all compliance and safety standards.
* Handle administrative tasks, including reporting, record-keeping, and staff management.
About You:
* 5+ years’ experience in facilities, building, or property management.
* Strong technical knowledge of property and building maintenance.
* Excellent communication and customer service skills.
* Ability to manage and motivate on-site teams.
* Organised, detail-focused, and able to multitask under pressure.
* Awareness of health and safety regulations (IOSH/NEBOSH qualification preferred but not essential).
* Proficient with IT and comfortable using management systems and reporting tools.
