The Opportunity
I am looking for a hands-on and commercially astute Global Procurement Manager - Software to lead the sourcing, negotiation, and vendor management of strategic software suppliers. This role will focus on licensing, cloud agreements, enterprise software solutions, and associated commercial conversations with Tier 1 vendors such as Microsoft, Salesforce, Oracle, SAP, Workday, ServiceNow, and Adobe.
You'll work closely with senior IT and transformation stakeholders to shape category strategy, and ensure that supplier agreements are optimised for value, risk, and business alignment.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead end-to-end software procurement activities, including license renewals, new purchases, RFPs, negotiations, and contracting.
* Manage commercial relationships with Tier 1 software vendors across cloud, SaaS, PaaS, and enterprise platforms.
* Partner with IT, finance, legal, and transformation stakeholders to align sourcing strategies with roadmap needs and cost forecasts.
* Drive commercial optimisation across software spend - leveraging volume, bundling, and usage insights to reduce total cost of ownership.
* Own the contract lifecycle process - ensuring agreements include appropriate licensing terms, usage rights, renewal clauses, and audit protections.
* Monitor vendor performance, manage key renewals, and ensure ongoing alignment with business and compliance requirements.
* Support the maturity of software asset management and procurement processes across the group.
Ideal Candidate Profile
* Strong procurement experience focused on enterprise software, licensing models, and cloud-based solutions.
* Demonstrable experience managing Tier 1 vendors such as Microsoft, Oracle, Salesforce, SAP, Workday, Adobe, or similar.
* Deep understanding of commercial terms and risks associated with SaaS, cloud subscriptions, perpetual licensing, and EAs.
* Skilled in stakeholder engagement, able to influence senior IT leaders and align procurement strategy to business needs.
* Comfortable negotiating complex software contracts and navigating internal governance.
* Proactive, solutions-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
