Job Description
An organisation operating within the UK transmission network is seeking an experienced Protection & Control Project Engineer to join a multi‑disciplinary engineering team. The role will support the development and delivery of a growing portfolio of infrastructure projects.

Experience in both scheme design and protection settings is preferred, though candidates with strong expertise in either area will be considered.
* Assess and adjudicate third‑party contractor factory acceptance tests (FATs) for protection and control equipment across new build and retrofit applications.
* Support multi‑disciplinary project teams by identifying and managing engineering risks and highlighting opportunities to improve project outcomes.
* Deliver agreed outputs to programme, contributing to the development of digital design capabilities and scheme standardisation initiatives.
Skills & Experience Required
* Minimum HNC qualification in Electrical Engineering.
* Proven experience in transmission protection and control, including application specification, panel and scheme design, and protection settings calculations.
* Strong engineering judgement, with the ability to assess complex technical issues and critically evaluate alternative solutions.
* Clear and effective communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical information to both technical and project stakeholders.
