Purpose
To provide Careers Information, Advice and Guidance to young people in secondary schools, Colleges, Pupil Referral Units and Community Settings.
Maternity Cover Roles (Level 6 Careers Adviser Required)
We are seeking Level 6 qualified Careers Advisers with experience working in school settings on a term-time only contract. Two posts are available as soon as possible, both providing maternity cover until 1 January 2027:
1. Position 1:
- 15 or 30 hours per week, term time only, over 38 weeks per year.
- Based in a Wakefield secondary school for 2 days per week.
2. Position 2:
- 15 or 30 hours per week, term time only, over 39 weeks per year.
- Based in a Wakefield secondary school for 2 days per week
Additional Permanent Hours Available
A small number of permanent hours (1 day per week) are also available as part of a combined package for the successful candidate(s). These hours relate to a home‑based digital IAG role supporting NEET young people.
To reflect service needs and ensure continuity, this permanent post is not being recruited for separately. It will only be offered in addition to one of the maternity cover roles and not as a standalone position.
