What You'll Be Doing
As an Accountant, you'll be a trusted contributor to their day-to-day operations, supporting clients and colleagues across a variety of financial functions. This is a key role for someone who enjoys both detail and diversity in their work.
Your responsibilities will include:
1. Maintaining accurate financial records and ledgers
2. Preparing journal entries, accruals, and prepayments
3. Assisting in the preparation of monthly and annual accounts
4. Handling reconciliations (bank, supplier, balance sheet)
5. Managing accounts payable and receivable
6. Preparing and submitting VAT and statutory returns
7. Supporting the month-end and year-end close process
8. Producing internal financial reports
9. Liaising with clients, colleagues, and auditors
Who You Are
You're detail-oriented, driven, and ready to take ownership of your work. You enjoy contributing to a collaborative team while also thriving in independent tasks.
You'll need to bring:
10. AAT qualification or be part-qualified in ACCA, ACA, or CIMA (or equivalent)
11. Previous experience in a similar finance or accounting role
12. Working knowledge of accounting software (, Sage, Xero, QuickBooks)
13. Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills
14. A sound understanding of UK accounting and VAT regulations (desirable)
