They are now looking to strengthen their technical function with the appointment of an experienced QA Supervisor. This is an exciting newly created opportunity based at their flagship site.
Role Overview
QA Supervisor plays a key role in protecting product integrity across the site. You will be responsible for maintaining food safety, quality and legality standards, while leading and developing a team of QA Technicians on shift. Working closely with Production and other departments, you will ensure products are manufactured, labelled and packaged correctly at all times.
Key Accountabilities
1. Day‑to‑day supervision, coaching and development of QA Technicians
2. Delivering on‑the‑job training and supporting regular performance reviews
3. Providing real‑time QA support to Production to ensure products meet specification
4. Attending daily production meetings and contributing to site performance discussions
5. Ensuring in‑process QA checks are completed accurately, with corrective actions followed through
6. Investigating non‑conforming or potentially defective product and recommending appropriate actions
7. Producing and circulating detailed shift reports outlining issues and actions taken
8. Managing routine QA activities including GMP audits, temperature checks, equipment calibration and reference samples
9. Ensuring CCP and QCP equipment calibration is maintained, including external calibration requirements
10. Maintaining agreed stock levels of QA equipment and spares
11. Reviewing QA paperwork for accuracy and correcting errors where required
12. Coordinating the dispatch of product samples for internal comparison, microbiological and allergen testing
13. Upholding high standards of health, safety, hygiene and site security
14. Actively participating in hygiene audits, environmental swabbing, water sampling and pest control visits
15. Promoting a strong food safety culture and positive company values across the site
People Profile
16. Proven experience within a QA or Technical role in a food manufacturing environment
17. Previous experience supervising or leading QA Technicians or similar teams
18. Strong working knowledge of food safety, quality and hygiene standards within a factory setting
19. Confident working with QA systems, production paperwork and corrective action processes
20. Comfortable operating in a fast‑paced, shift‑based manufacturing environment
21. A clear communicator, able to work effectively with Production and Technical teams
22. Highly organised, detail‑focused and confident in challenging standards where necessary
23. A genuine commitment to maintaining product legality, safety, quality and authenticity
