Job Role for the Manufacturing Engineer:
Support automation manufacturing processes by working with Engineering, Supply Chain, and Operations to meet OTD targets and improve productivity.
1. Provide real-time technical support to resolve production issues, including equipment failures, quality concerns, and process inefficiencies.
2. Identify and implement opportunities for process optimisation, cost reduction, and continuous improvement in manufacturing operations.
3. Support RF testing, validation, and performance verification of antenna designs and components to ensure alignment with specifications.
4. Coordinate with test department and production teams to resolve testing discrepancies or failure modes.
5. Support Design for Manufacture (DFM) activities for new and existing products.
6. Manage manufacturing activities during the transition from development to production.
7. Develop and maintain comprehensive production documentation, including job routings and work instructions.
8. Conduct process simulation and optimise manufacturing processes.
9. Monitor and analyse production data to track performance, identify trends, and suggest improvements.
Skills and Experience:
* Minimum 3 years experience in a manufacturing, production, engineering, or technical role, with automation expertise.
* Knowledge of implementing automation into a manufacturing environment.
* Experience managing engineering projects and delivering productivity improvement initiatives.
* Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment, and quality systems.
* BSc (Hons) or MSc in Electronics Engineering, with experience in electronics and RF components.
* Experience with New Product Introduction.
* Chartered Engineer or working towards it.
* Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies.
