Tudor Surgery is a close-knit, well organised and cohesive practice with a friendly working environment, quality care and a proven record of innovation and adapting to change. We are looking for a new Salaried GP to work 4 sessions per week to join our successful team.
There are options to furtherincrease earnings by working extended hours (either within the Practice or vialocal Hubs).
Clinical administration is kept manageable by theinvolvement of the whole Practice team.The Practice Nurses action chronic disease and normal investigationresults, administrative staff scan and code hospital correspondence and addmedication prior to review by a clinician for issuing, and the Non-medicalPrescribing Pharmacists sort most of the repeat prescriptions. We use EMISweb for medical record-keeping andPATCHS for online consultation requests.

About us
TudorSurgery has a steadily expanding list of 5,200 patients. At least one GP is on duty each day, workingalongside a Clinical Pharmacist and Advanced Nurse Practitioner plus the usualsupporting practice staff.
Situatedin the market town of Nantwich, South Cheshire, we share purpose-built premiseswith on-site community staff and two other practices. We have a staff room for informal chats overhot drinks and lunch and a meeting room for our regular clinical meetings. Were busy - but not drowning - and theworkload is generally (just about) manageable within a 9am-6pm working day.
Job responsibilities
1. Treat patients who are illor believe that they might be ill
2. Perform telephoneconsultations, telephone triage and online consultation as needed
3. Support patients to adopthealth promotion strategies that promote patients to live healthily, and applyprinciples of self-care
4. Prioritise health problemsand intervene appropriately to assist the patient in complex, urgent oremergency situations, including initiation of effective emergency care
5. Perform home visits asagreed
6. Work with other healthcare professionals to diagnose, monitor, manage and treat long-term conditions,including non-drug-based treatment methods using a management plan, and in linewith national and local policies and practice needs
7. Conform to practiceprocedures for QOF, prescribing incentive schemes, PBC and other enhancedservices and directives as stipulated by the National Bodies/ ICB or TudorSurgery
8. Complete referral lettersas necessary for patients seen
9. Review and sign repeatprescriptions as and when required
10. ClinicalGovernance/Quality Assurance Follow and contribute to protocols to achieve ahigh score on the Quality and Outcomes Framework
11. Enhance current policesand procedures within the practice as required
12. Ensure data is entered inan efficient and accurate manner on to the practice computer system
13.Promote confidentiality(in line with Caldicott principles) within the practice
14. Deal with non-NHScorrespondence (such as life insurance, holiday cancellations and work relatedletters).
15. Deal with pathologyresults communications from Out of Hours Service
16. Ensure that repairs areperformed to a high standard and in accordance with Health & Safetyguidelines.
Person Specification
Experience
* Experience of working in a primary care environment
* Experience of continued professional development
* Experience of QOF and clinical audit
* Minimum of two years as a GP
* General understanding of the GMS contract
* Experience of medicines management (GP only)
* Experience of ICB and PCN initiatives
Qualifications
* Qualified GP and MRCGP
* General Practitioner (Certificate of Completion of Training CCT)
* Full GMC Registration
* National Performers List registration
* Eligibility to practice in the UK independently
* Vocational Training Certificate or equivalent JCPTGP
Other Requirements
* Partake in financial management decisions/meetings
* Occupational Health clearance
* Project lead as required with PCN, CQC, ICB and QOF
* Strategic Business Planning
* Flexibility to work outside of core office hours
