The Client: My client are a diversified industrial company that operates in various sectors including fluid handling, engineered products, and industrial technology. They design, manufacture, and distribute a wide range of products such as pumps, valves, fittings, instrumentation, filtration systems, and engineered components used in fluid handling applications across industries like oil and gas, petrochemical, water treatment, pharmaceutical, and food processing.
Overview: My Client are seeking a Contract Business Analyst specialized in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) to facilitate the implementation of a bespoke solution within its operations. This role will consist of streamlining warehouse management processes and integrating an advanced system, particularly as my client currently relies heavily on manual processes, including handheld scanners.
Responsibilities:
* Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements related to warehouse management processes and system functionalities.
* System Analysis: Analyze existing warehouse management systems and processes to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
* Solution Design: Work closely with cross-functional teams to design and develop solutions that align with business objectives and requirements.
* Vendor Management: Liaise with external vendors and third-party service providers to ensure the successful implementation and customization of the bespoke warehouse management solution.
* Training and Documentation: Create user manuals, training materials, and documentation to support end-users in utilizing the new warehouse management system effectively.
* Change Management: Support change management activities by facilitating communication, training sessions, and providing ongoing support to ensure smooth transition and adoption of the new system.
* Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement and recommend enhancements to optimize warehouse operations and maximize efficiency.
