We are looking for a compassionate, reliable, and first-aid-trained SEN Tutor to provide tailored educational support to a student with medical needs in the Thurrock area. Location: Thurrock Hours: 10 hours per week Start: ASAP Contract: Part-time / Ongoing About the Role You will deliver one-to-one personalised learning to a student who is currently unable to attend school full-time. Sessions will take place in the home or a suitable community setting. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting learners with special educational needs and feel confident responding calmly and appropriately should any medical issue arise. Responsibilities Deliver engaging, differentiated lessons based on the student's needs and curriculum level Support the student's learning, confidence, and progress in a safe and nurturing environment Monitor and record progress, feeding back to parents/carers and the commissioning body Ensure safeguarding policies are followed at all times Respond appropriately to medical needs, acting in line with first aid training and care plans Requirements First Aid training (essential) Experience working with children or young people with SEN Ability to adapt teaching methods to individual learning styles Strong communication skills and a patient, supportive approach Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one) What We Offer Competitive hourly rate Flexible working hours Ongoing support from our SEN team A rewarding opportunity to make a positive difference in a student's life If you are caring, committed, and confident supporting a learner with medical needs, we'd love to hear from you.
