Manager Position
Job Requirements / Description:
We are seeking a dedicated, experienced, and compassionate Preschool Manager to lead and oversee the daily operations of our preschool. The ideal candidate will ensure a safe, nurturing, and educational environment for children, provide strong leadership to staff, maintain regulatory compliance, and foster positive relationships with families. This role requires a mix of educational leadership, administrative skills, and a passion for early childhood development.
Qualifications:
· Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in early childhood education, including 1-2 years in a supervisory or administrative role.
· Valid director/manager-level certification as required by the state (e.g., Director Credential, CPR/First Aid certification).
· Strong knowledge of early childhood licensing requirements and developmental best practices.
· Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
· Passion for working with young children and supporting their growth and development.
Work Schedule:
· Monday to Friday, typically 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM or similar
· Occasional evening or weekend hours for events or meetings.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Staff Management
· Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate teaching and support staff.
· Provide guidance, mentorship, and professional development opportunities to team members.
· Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and positive working environment.
· Create staff schedules and manage time-off requests to ensure appropriate classroom coverage.
Curriculum & Program Development
· Oversee the planning and implementation of a developmentally appropriate curriculum that aligns with early childhood education standards.
· Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness and make improvements as needed.
· Ensure that classroom activities promote physical, emotional, cognitive, and social development.
Administrative & Operational Oversight
· Manage day-to-day operations of the preschool, including enrolment, attendance, and classroom transitions.
· Ensure the preschool complies with all local, state, and federal regulations, including health and safety requirements.
· Maintain accurate records, including student files, staff certifications, and incident reports.
· Manage budgets, order supplies, and ensure proper maintenance of facilities.
Family & Community Engagement
· Serve as the primary point of contact for parents and guardians.
· Communicate regularly with families regarding children’s progress, upcoming events, and school policies.
· Plan and coordinate family events, parent-teacher conferences, and community outreach activities.
Nursery Practitioner Position
Job Requirements / Description:
To provide a safe, caring, and stimulating environment for children, supporting their learning and development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). You will work as part of a team to deliver high-quality early education and care, building strong partnerships with families and contributing to the smooth running of the setting. We cater from birth- 5 years.
Essential:
· Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare/Early Years (e.g., CACHE, NVQ, or equivalent)
· Understanding of the EYFS and child development
· Experience working with children aged 0-5 years
· Awareness of safeguarding and child protection procedures
· Good communication and teamwork skills
· A caring, patient, and enthusiastic attitude
Desirable:
· Paediatric First Aid certification
· DBS or we will provide one
· Knowledge of SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities)
· Experience using online learning journals (e.g., Tapestry)
Key Responsibilities:
· Support the planning and delivery of activities that meet the EYFS framework and reflect children’s interests and developmental needs.
· Maintain accurate records of children's progress through observations and assessments.
· Ensure the safeguarding and welfare of all children in your care, following safeguarding policies and procedures.
· Promote positive behaviour and model appropriate interactions with children.
· Create a warm, welcoming environment that supports children’s physical, emotional, and social development.
· Work collaboratively with parents, carers, and external agencies to support children’s individual needs.
· Carry out daily routines including nappy changing, toileting, mealtimes, and sleep supervision.
· Ensure all health and safety, hygiene, and cleanliness standards are upheld in the setting.
· Attend staff meetings, training, and professional development opportunities as required.
· Contribute to maintaining a well-organised, inclusive, and positive team environment.
