Airswift are currently recruiting for a Principal Construction Planner for a 12 month contract based in Wilton. The Planner is required to work in close liaison with the construction team, other area planners and the client, reporting both to the Planning Manager and the Turnover manager. Initially they will maintain the Level ¾ schedules working with the Construction Contractor but also contribute to the development of the over all level 1 planning activities for LoM that integrate the construction schedule for Sinking Scope of work with the requirements of other infrastructure and LoM. As construction completes development of a Level 4 schedule will be required that supports overall project turnover and commissioning. Requirements: Proven planning abilities at a management level planning with hands experience in the detail. Experience should be within an oil and gas facility with extensive construction experience An engineering or other technical designation Proficiency in Primavera and proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Access, Word and PowerPoint) Be a liaison between Construction and the Turnover/Commissioning/Startup team Assist and support the conversion of the progress measurement database from geographic construction to system based completion Contribute to a cohesive team for successful construction, commissioning and startup Encourage open communication between the Construction contractor and the Commissioning/Startup Team and external Stakeholders Chair meetings and be able to take minutes on actions Answer and give guidance to Commissioning/Startup Team members as required Coordinate the development of detailed work packages and plan. The Commissioning/Startup Team can utilize this plan to develop daily work activities Ensure site processes are monitored and controlled to achieve safe and economical commissioning/startup activities Produce input for the turnover component for the preparation and maintenance of the Project Master Schedule Coordinate and support the construction group in relation to sequence, resource requirements and constructability implementation within required commissioning/ turnover deadlines Supervise project schedule and contractor status to ensure commissioning completion supports the master schedule and that the contractor plans are realistic and achievable Assist in Progress Reporting; Earned Value Analysis, Performance Factor calculation Work closely with contractors to ensure accuracy efficiency, and timely reporting Assist in the preparation of schedules for Commissioning and Start-up Essential: HNC or equivalent. Desirable: Degree. Level 3 QCF in Planning/Project Controls. Primavera P6 102. Previous Planning Experience, responsible for a small-sized sub-element of a major project. Working Knowledge of the offshore oil and gas industry or downstream petrochemical industry. Knowledge of various electronic project control applications.
