Within a fast growing organisation the Infield Excellence Business Partner is a key role in driving the success and ongoing growth of the business. Maximising the capability and effectiveness of our In-Field Managers and In-Field Team members is a critical organisational priority.
With the key objective of advancing the capabilities of the infield team; The IFEX Business Partner is responsible for developing and delivering the strategy of interventions that address Infield team capability and raising the bar within In-Field Excellence. Working in close collaboration with each brand and senior roles such as the Business Unit Director, Business Unit Manager and National Sales manager to ensure that the design and delivery of these interventions is tailored to the overarching Strategic Drivers of each brand.
The IFEX Business Partner will work with a ‘Business Partnership’ mind-set and have a strong focus on impact as a change leader. Working across the matrix, they challenge thinking and co-create outcomes that raise the bar in driving Excellence in Execution. Partnership stakeholders include Global Capability Directors, Business Unit Directors, Business Unit Managers, National Sales Managers, IFM Managers as well as Customer Excellence (CEx) and Business Technology Solutions (BTS) teams.
Key responsibilities:
Infield Excellence Strategy to Execution
* Drive Infield Excellence: Lead infield operations, including creation and delivery of capability assessment & team development initiatives, to ensure optimal performance within the Business Unit.
* Strategic Brand Team Collaboration: Serve as a pivotal member of the brand team by deeply understanding upcoming business challenges and proactively identifying and implementing employee development strategies to address these needs.
* Trusted Advisor to the Business Unit Manager: Act as the primary advisor to the Business Unit Manager on all aspects of infield execution, providing actionable insights and guidance to support business objectives.
* Coach and Mentor: Provide ongoing coaching and mentorship to the National Sales Manager and Regional Business Managers, enhancing IFEX leadership capabilities and fostering a culture of continuous improvement throughout the Business Unit.
Core Job responsibilities:
* Partner and advise senior leadership, to create, lead and drive the execution of the IFEX Strategy across Business Units, taking responsibility for developing integrated and effective learning & development journeys and associated learning interventions that drive a targeted approach to team development.
* Accelerate the embedding of skills and capability, providing solutions for continuous improvement, based on insight and knowledge aligned to our overall IFEX vision.
* Collaborate with global colleagues to influence and shape future interventions aligned to business needs based on insight and knowledge.
* Work closely with colleagues and team across CEX/BTS to co-create solutions aligned to business opportunity and infield need
* Ensure all IFEX resources developed are of a high-quality standard and are fully compliant with company policies and procedures and the requirements of the ABPI Code of Practice.
* Take on responsibility for ad hoc leadership / contribution to projects as needed.
* Lead the creation of strategically aligned Learner journeys and programs for new product launches.
* To comply with the company’s policies and procedures to meet statutory, quality and business requirements within the overall strategy and objectives of AbbVie Ltd.
* Responsible for the health, safety, and environmental performance of themselves through compliance within EHS programs, regulations, and standards. Subject to the policy and procedures outlined in the EHS Handbook.
* Contribute to the development of a positive working environment and culture within the Customer Excellence Division
Qualifications
Industry and Business Knowledge
* Strong understanding of the ABPI, NHS, and pharmaceutical industry
* Knowledge of AbbVie’s key therapy areas and markets
* Operational experience in Sales/Marketing with insights into necessary functional contributions
Relationship and Communication Skills
* Ability to build 'Business Partner' relationships with internal stakeholders
* Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, influencing senior staff
* Networking capabilities within a matrix organization

Additional Requirements
* This is an office-based role, working on a 3/2 Hybrid model. It is expected that up to 20% of the time may be spent in the field delivering interventions, depending on assigned projects
