Hales Group is excited to be working on behalf of our client, who is seeking a Management Accountant to join their team on a permanent basis.
Management Accountant duties will include:
1. Verify statements to ensure all invoices are received.
2. Identify and obtain missing invoices from the purchase ledger.
3. Ensure all purchase invoices and costs from the previous month are posted.
4. Reconcile aged creditor and debtor reports.
5. Produce and distribute customer statements.
6. Compile and send Aged Debtors reports to Directors and Sales Team.
7. Reconcile and post petty cash transactions.
8. Reconcile and post all credit card transactions.
9. Complete and post staff expenses.
10. Conduct balance sheet reconciliations, including sales ledger control.
11. Complete cash and invoice finance reconciliations.
12. Produce and send sales reports to relevant stakeholders.
13. Complete cost of sales adjustments and reconciliations.
14. Transfer overhead costs to intercompany accounts.
15. Perform intercompany postings and reconciliations.
16. Update and check the Fixed Asset Register, posting Fixed Asset Journals.
17. Prepare and post accrual and prepayment schedules (Xero-based).
18. Maintain schedules for contract hire and miscellaneous expenses.
19. Process and allocate department-specific costs for haulage, accuracy, and parts reference drawers.
Qualifications and experience required:
1. Strong experience in management accounting.
2. Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines.
3. Strong communication skills to liaise with directors, finance teams, and external stakeholders.
4. Ability to work independently while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
5. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting.
6. Holds an AAT Qualification.

Pay: £35,000 to £37,000 Per Annum
