We are currently seeking a dedicated and accomplished Senior Sommelier to join our esteemed wine team. As a Senior Sommelier, you will play a pivotal role in curating our extensive wine list, providing expert guidance to guests, and contributing to the overall excellence of our dining experience. If you have a passion for wine, a wealth of knowledge in oenology, and a proven track record of elevating the dining experience, we invite you to be a key influencer at our restaurant.
Responsibilities
* Provide expert recommendations to guests, suggesting wine pairings that enhance their dining experience.
* Training and mentoring the sommelier team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
* Partake in regular tastings with suppliers and producers to support the Head of Wine in the curation of the extensive wine list
* Conduct regular tastings and educational sessions for staff
* Collaborate with the management team to and execute wine-focused events and promotions.
* Manage wine inventory, order supplies, and ensure proper storage conditions.
* Stay informed about industry trends, new releases, and emerging winemakers.
Qualifications
* Proven experience as a Senior Sommelier or in a similar leadership role within a high-end restaurant.
* Extensive knowledge of wines, regions, and varietals, supported by relevant certifications.
* Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
* Impeccable grooming and presentation.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and efficiently manage tasks.
* Familiarity with inventory management and ordering processes.
