What's the job?
We're looking for a caring, reliable SEN Teaching Assistant to support young people (16+) with additional needs in an SEN setting in Ormskirk.
You'll help students feel supported, stay engaged, and build confidence in a calm, structured environment.
What you'll be doing:
* Supporting students 1:1 or in small groups
* Helping with classwork + life skills
* Encouraging confidence, independence, and routine
* Managing behaviour using calm, supportive techniques
* Working closely with teachers and support staff
* Adapting tasks to suit different learning needs
You'd be a good fit if you:
* Have experience with young people (SEN is a bonus, not essential)
* Are patient, calm, and understanding
* Can stay positive, even in challenging situations
* Work well in a team
* Genuinely want to make a difference
Requirements:
* Right to work in the UK
* Willing to complete an Enhanced DBS check
* 10-year work/education history (with any gaps explained)
* Happy to attend a short registration interview
