Job Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and qualified radiographer to join our X‑ray department at RNOH. The successful candidate will hold Band 5 (first year) with a structured training plan to progress to Band 6 within 12–18 months.
Main Duties
* Provide high‑quality diagnostic images in outpatients, inpatient, fluoroscopy, theatres, EOS scanning, HiRise Ped CT scanning and DXA, acting as the primary clinician in these areas.
* Work closely with radiologists, radiographers, assistants and other clinical staff, including teaching students and junior staff.
* Manage workload effectively, applying clinical knowledge to produce accurate images while prioritising patient safety.
* Participate in out‑of‑hour service provision, including evening, weekend and on‑call duties; rotate between Stanmore and Bolsover St. sites.
* Maintain accurate patient records, manage images on PACS and adhere to Trust and departmental protocols including IRMER 2017 and IRR 2017.
* Uphold safety standards, ensuring all radiation‑controlled areas remain safe for patients and staff.
* Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to research activities as appropriate.
Working Hours & Schedules
Shift: 08:00 – 20:30 Monday to Friday, reduced service on Saturdays, closed Sundays and bank holidays.
Flexible working arrangements, including part‑time and job share, are available.
Qualifications & Experience
* BSc Radiography or equivalent.
* Current HCPC registration.
* Evidence of CPD and awareness of clinical governance requirements.
* Experience in DXA.
* Post‑graduate radiography qualifications.
* Radiation protection training.

* Strong analytical, organisational and problem‑solving abilities.
* Capability to prioritise tasks and manage own workload.
* Proficient with IT systems such as CRIS, PACS, EPIC.
