Position Overview The General Manager is the strategic and operational leader of the estate, responsible for ensuring an impeccable guest experience, driving profitability, and upholding the propertys brand standards. This individual oversees all aspects of operationsincluding rooms, food & beverage, sales, finance, and guest serviceswhile cultivating a culture of excellence, innovation, and hospitality among team members. Key Responsibilities Operational Leadership Oversee daily operations across all departments to ensure seamless service delivery and operational efficiency. Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and guest satisfaction in line with brand expectations. Partner with department heads to set, communicate, and monitor performance standards and KPIs. Implement and refine SOPs to enhance consistency and quality. Financial Management Develop and manage annual budgets, forecasts, and financial targets. Analyse P&L statements and other financial reports to ensure profitability and cost control. Identify revenue opportunities and implement strategic initiatives to optimize ADR, occupancy, and RevPAR. Guest Experience & Brand Integrity Lead by example in providing world-class, personalized service that exceeds guest expectations. Monitor guest feedback channels and respond proactively to issues or opportunities. Ensure the property maintains its unique identity, design aesthetic, and reputation for excellence. Team Development & Culture Recruit, train, and mentor department leaders and staff to achieve peak performance. Foster a culture of warmth, respect, accountability, and empowerment. Conduct regular performance reviews and create development plans for key talent. Sales & Marketing Collaborate with the marketing and sales teams to drive brand awareness and revenue growth. Cultivate relationships with local businesses, influencers, and community organizations. Represent the hotel at industry events and networking functions. Compliance & Safety Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal laws, including labor and safety regulations. Oversee security, risk management, and emergency response procedures. Qualifications Bachelors degree in hospitality management, Business Administration, or a related field. Minimum 5 years of progressive hotel management experience, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role at a luxury or boutique property. Proven track record of achieving financial goals while maintaining high guest satisfaction. Deep understanding of boutique/lifestyle brand operations and guest expectations. Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Proficiency in hotel management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
