As a Healthcare Assistant in Pre assessment at our York Hospital you'll show us you're able to meet deadlines and follow instructions. You have a good telephone manner, and great computer and database skills. You need to be qualified to NVQ Level 2 or 3, with relevant experience in an acute hospital or care setting.
As a Bank Pre-Assessment Health Care Assistant, you will:
* Be part of a close-knit team
* Carry out administrative duties
* Work with leading talent and make the right assessments
* Fully understand and support the needs of each patient and their family
* Offer comfort and reassurance, providing the highest standards of care
* Build your experience across new practices, equipment and facilities
* Work with practitioners in other areas, understanding that continuity in patient care is key
* ECG and phlebotomy competencies would be great, but these can be gained as part of your training here.

Working on the bank means you are not contracted to a set number of hours per week but instead work on an ad-hoc basis to suit the needs of the business and your availability.
You will predominantly be working as part of the optimisation team, triaging patients straight out of clinic, taking swabs, bloods and ECGs. It is an independent role working alongside the rest of the pre assessment team.
