Amazon Marketplace Manager DE

Location:
Wales - 2 days a week - commutable from London, Midlands, West Home Counties etc.

Reports to:
Global Head of Marketplaces

Position Overview

We are seeking a hands-on, driven Amazon Marketplace Manager to oversee day-to-day execution and optimisation of the Amazon business in Germany. This role requires a data-driven operator who can blend commercial insight with flawless operational delivery — ensuring product availability, compliance, profitability, and customer satisfaction across all online touchpoints.

Key Responsibilities

1. Marketplace Operations & Process Management

* Own the end-to-end operational performance of Amazon and marketplace channels — from listing accuracy to fulfilment efficiency.
* Manage daily operations in Seller Central, including order flow, FBA/FBM replenishment, pricing adjustments, and issue resolution.
* Build and maintain operational dashboards tracking key KPIs: sales velocity, OOS %, shipment lead times, contribution margin.
* Partner with supply chain and logistics to ensure forecasting accuracy, inventory health, and on-time FBA deliveries.
* Implement SOPs for listing management, catalogue hygiene, and escalation processes for account or ASIN-level issues.

2. Catalogue, Listings & Content Optimisation

* Ensure all listings are live, accurate, and compliant with marketplace requirements.
* Oversee content accuracy, imagery, and SEO, coordinating with internal content and creative teams for updates.
* Manage product onboarding, new ASIN creation, and attribute optimisation for discoverability and conversion.
* Schedule and coordinate product launches, seasonal updates, and catalogue clean-ups.

3. Advertising, Promotions & Demand Alignment

* Collaborate with marketing and media teams to align advertising and promotional plans with operational capacity and stock levels.
* Monitor ad performance (ACOS, TACOS, ROAS) and coordinate with operations on pricing or availability changes.
* Support promo execution (Coupons, Deals, Prime Day) ensuring inventory, pricing, and content readiness.

4. Performance Tracking & Reporting

* Maintain weekly and monthly performance dashboards (sales, inventory, OOS %, forecast accuracy, FBA fees, returns).
* Conduct root-cause analysis for operational disruptions — such as delayed shipments, stranded inventory, or Buy Box losses.
* Deliver actionable insights and process improvement recommendations to leadership.
* Benchmark competitor operations to identify opportunities for efficiency and margin improvement.

5. Cross-Functional Collaboration & Vendor Coordination

* Liaise with supply chain, finance, and customer service teams to ensure end-to-end operational alignment.
* Partner with 3PLs and Amazon support teams to resolve shipment or compliance issues.
* Manage external vendors and agencies (ad management, content creation) with clear KPIs and deliverables.
* Support new marketplace onboarding or geographic expansion through structured launch plans and operational readiness reviews.

Required Qualifications

* Experience:
Great experience of Amazon marketplace operations (FBA & FBM) with a strong track record of process improvement and sales growth.
* Operational Expertise:
Deep knowledge of Seller Central, inventory management, fulfilment processes, and performance metrics.
* Analytical Skills:
Confident using Excel/Sheets and BI tools for reporting and insights.
* Tools:
Familiarity with Ad Console, Brand Analytics, and tools such as Helium10 or Jungle Scout.
* Mindset:
Hands-on operator who thrives in detail, identifies inefficiencies quickly, and drives structured improvements.
