Overview
The Production Support Coordinator supports production support, inventory, calibration, facility management, and materials resource planning areas.
Preferred candidates should have experience in electronics, avionics, defense, or military support backgrounds. This role requires flexibility and adaptability to multiple program/lab needs.
Note: Applicants selected for this position will be required to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.
Responsibilities:
* Work with Cal Lab to ensure lab equipment is calibrated and up to date.
* Coordinate transfer of equipment between work areas and Cal Lab.
* Escort Cal Lab personnel for on-site calibration and ESD bench certification.
* Track hardware builds.
* Update and provide travelers and work orders to technicians.
* Update quality control spreadsheets on production status and process changes.
* Track chemicals, limited-life materials, and consumables.
* Manage preventative maintenance, order parts, and schedule maintenance.
* Maintain inventory control and assess needs.
* Work with vendors to obtain quotes for supplies and materials.
* Submit purchase orders to buyers.
Skills and Abilities:
* Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
* Strong communication skills with facility users and engineering teams.
* Experience in lab and facility operations management.
* Familiarity with MRP security systems.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required; an Associate's degree in Operations or Business is preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years in a lab or facility operations management role.
